A day of culture and sport in the Jura

Grande Saline and Via Ferrata

1 hour from the campsite by car, start your morning at the Grande Saline de Salins-les-Bains. An industrial salt production site, it is one of the oldest known salt works, in operation for around 7,000 years! Moreover, it has been classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The underground gallery of the Grande Saline can only be visited on a guided tour.

Then, for nature lovers, you can spend your afternoon at the Nans-Sous-Sainte-Anne via ferrata, in the north of the Jura massif, a 16-minute drive from the Grande Saline de Salins les Bains. It has been designed in such a way that you will overlook the village of Nans sous Sainte Anne, with a view over the Lison valley. Passages of varying difficulty will allow you to discover the natural riches of this preserved site with chamois and falcons as privileged guests.
